G'Day Team,
I am sure I saw somewhere an article about Jeststar flight Perth  to Jakarta
for AUD 159.00 ++ each way. Yet, surprise surprise can't find any detail on
the QF or Jeststar wesbites.

Does anyone know or have links I may follow?
Cheers,

Quote from Death Star press release about last June

" At the Australian Tourism Exchange 2008 in Perth, Jetstar Monday
announced that it would be using the state capital as its new base,
and launch services to Indonesia from there.

For its launch offer, Jetstar offered one-way sale Jetsaver Light
fares from the new base to Denpasar and Jakarta for AU$179.  The
tickets were available for seven hours on Monday.

“Plans are already underway for Jetstar to establish an international
crew and pilot base in Perth, which will support these new flight
services,” said Bruce Buchanan, Jetstar Group General Manager
Commercial.

The new A320 international services from Perth will be replacing
Qantas services, with Perth–Denpasar (JQ116/117) to be flown four
times a week and Perth–Jakarta (JQ114/115) to be flown three times a
week.  Services will begin late October.

Everyday JetSaver Light fares on the sector start from AU$249.

On top of this, Mr Buchanan also announced a new Sydney–Darwin–Ho Chi
Minh City (JQ73/74) service to begin on the 2nd of September.

Jetstar has no plans to drop its existing Sydney–Ho Chi Minh City
service; this new route will operate as a domestic to international
connecting flight through Darwin with passengers departing from Sydney
Airport’s Domestic Terminal 2 (T2) five times a week, checking in once
only.

“This service will provide yet another daylight connection between the
southern states and Darwin, and highlights the ongoing opportunities
for Darwin to become a northern hub for our international services,”
said Mr Buchanan.

“We are excited by the prospects that these three new international
routes present for Jetstar. They will broaden our footprint across
South East Asia and see us establish our seventh Australian port for
international operations.”

JetSaver Light one-way fares on the Vietnam service will start from
$419 from Sydney and $249 from Darwin."

Strangely a young friend of ours who has to travel to Jakarta one week a
month was told by his company that Jetstar had told them that if they wish
to guarantee a seat on particular flights the fare would be about 150% of
the Qantas fare!!
