q reading callsign

Q  if i am standig on the ground   and someone flys  with cessna c 172  from
what maximum  hight  can the callsign
be read on the side off this airplaine ?

With Binoculars.. ?

With a telescope..?

12" numbers?

3" numbers?

Given that the service ceiling of the plane is upwards of 12-14000 feet,
I would venture that the max possible altitude this could happen would
be the service ceiling.
