Is anyone on the list FLYING an American Eaglet sailplane?  If so, I'd
like to hear about its flying qualities and sturdiness.  I have the
chance to buy a complete kit Eaglet, never started, with all plans,
newsletters and trailer.  I am somewhat concerned about the inverted
V-Tail.  Having read a bunch of the builder's newsletters, it seems a
little scary.  All input appreciated!!

I don't know of any Eaglets that are currently operated
regularly. There are a couple messages about the Eaglet
on the HomeSail forum on YahooGroups, you might subscribe
and have a look at them.

One of your better resources will probably be Scott
Perkins, who directs the Vintage Ultralight & Lightplane
Assocation:

Thanks, and best regards to all

DEREK PIGGOT wrote an excellent flight review of one based in England.
He flew it, and commented that it was the first sailplane he was afraid of
getting OFF TOW.  It went downhill from there.  This is a must read.

Hello Scott,

I actually have the chance to receive an American Eaglet kit that is still in
the crate as a kit.  Have you gone any further with your plans.  My problem
is that I can get the kit but the plans have been lost.  Can you help me in
that regard?

Thanks, Walt

Walt,

Did you have any luck scrounging up a set of plans? I read the eval made in
the UK. The spoiler problem is easily fixed as is also the inverted V tail. I
don't believe that there are or ever were certified Eaglets here in the USA.
As a homebuilt ultralite there are really only safety issues and flight
characteristics. I'm very interested in a set of plans in order to make my
own evaluation of the construction and design perameters. Help if you can,

Robbo

Robbo,

I have a set of drawings and a set of construction plans but I never bought a
kit. If you are still interested in these let me know.

Did you ever find anything out as for plans and info on the plane. I have an
American Eaglet. Have not flown yet but doing research before doing so.
Call if you like
