Hi, while waiting at Sydney for a flight out I noticed that B737 aircraft do
not use flap for takeoff
The result is that they take off faster and obviously further down the

Trying to hot start a Cherokee 6 - 300 using the method from the operators
manual,(ie throttle half open, mixture lean, electric fuel pump on, operate
starter motor, etc) usually leads to a flooded engine and then occasionally

i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on getting in to
leigh creek. i have heard it's surrounded by mountains and the approach
from the east is a bit tricky over the flinders ranges. some arrive
over the top at 6500 and make a circling descent and others descend
