Ah bliss. For the first time in years (literally) there was a decent steady cross-wind for my flying pleasure. 'Twas the usual parachute ops in the venerable HJP (C206), BKN at FL130-140, 30C on the ground and a steady WEW-NW wind all day.

Yesterday I was traveling through Sydney airport (domestic) and noticed they weren't using the more traditional tow motor when the aircraft was being pushed back. Instead they had another vehicle that attached around one of the main landing gears. It got my interest due

Dixon says that Aircraft Maintenance costs him $70 to $80 per hour if done by Aussie QF Engineers, but in China, he can get the same work for $7 to $8 an hour, bit of a difference, but you would wonder how good the work would be at those prices.
