We in Brisbane are currently hosting the USS Ronald Reagan on her maiden voyage. I saw some footage on the news of the COD aircraft bringing the advance team to Brisbane airport prior to arrival.

In the 707 days, Qantas had a route to London thru Papeete, Mexico, Bermuda (I think). I believe they placed crew somewhere along the route as that was cheaper than putting then up in hotels between flights. does anyone remember the details and dates?

Read in the Australian Business section this morning about Qantas is in the stages of selling off there Catering Division. And the buyers are all Foreigners. Gate Gourmet Swiss Based Caterer well know for costing BA a monumental loss
