Anyone have any informatin about a Qantas inflight upset that occurred
in the early 1980s?
I think it was a flight to Singapore, but I'm not sure. The aircraft
suddenly climbed due to auto-pilot failure and some passengers were injured.

Unverified reports that Qantas Airbus A330-300, registration VH-QPJ performing
flight QF77 from Perth,WA (Australia) to Singapore (Singapore) with 168
passengers, returned to Perth after the crew received a low engine oil warning
and had to shut the engine down.

Interesting article on home grown heroes with JB leading the article.
He talks about teamwork, or CRM. I wonder how other cultures where the captain
is a more autocratic figure would have dealt with this incident.
