We just got the bill for our new engine.....*GASP** It should be ready and mounted in a few weeks. It's a 1968' Piper Arrow 180 hp. Great plane!

How does the military's use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle intend to comply with the Part 91 See-And-Avoid mandate? Will there be new Restricted Areas imposed along the border, or will the UAVs be flown in Positive Control Airspace?

I'm starting my private pilot training next month (for my own statisfaction, I'm 44 and have a good career going, I'm not interested in flying as a profession). I'll be going at it part time and wondered what other things I can use to get the most out of my instrutor time.

My friend just bought an airplane. He did the prepurchase inspection himself. That's not as bad as it sounds - he is an A&P/IA and has owned and restored many airplanes. The plane was an older model light twin and he got a great deal on it.

Well, it happended. I have owned the plane (Piper Turbo Arrow III) for 3 months and the engine failed during climb out on Tuesday. Altitude was 4400 feet. Luckily, the engine did not entirely quit and I made it to an airport within 10 miles. TBO was 1000 hours away. ...
