Interior Spray Paint14 Jun 2004 20:33 GMT11
What do you guys use for painting interior plastic?
We will be out of annual for a couple weeks 'cause our A&P is busy, so we're
going to work in the interior.  We'll order various new pieces from Plane
Plastics.  The parts come black right?  We'll have to paint the new pieces,
Experience transitioning from C-172 to complex aircraft as potential first owned aircraft?14 Jun 2004 20:01 GMT12
Looking for any feedback from folks that had mostly C-172 time (zero complex
and/or RG time) then transitioned to a complex airplane when you went to
buy.  What did you transition to?  Was it a good decision/positive
experience?  What type of insurance requirements did you face in ...

Taylorcraft: Potential project available14 Jun 2004 16:55 GMT7
Folks -
I had an 'incident' with my T'craft last month. We've been totaling
up the costs and up until yesterday things looked good, then we took

Oil for a new engine?14 Jun 2004 16:50 GMT3
A friend of mine just got a new Continental engine for his Cessna
(182RG I think, but don't those have struts?  This one doesn't, but it
isn't a Cardinal... I don't know my Cessnas too well... anyways).  He
says the factory had it sent with some expensive brand of 5W-30 (or
Door seal??14 Jun 2004 15:28 GMT1
Our 68 Arrow is not what you would call airtight on the door.
Is there a part available to seal it better? Where can I find it?
It seems like air is leaking in at the lower back end of the door.
Will this also help lowerr the noise in the cabin?

Paint for interior details14 Jun 2004 01:19 GMT1
We have just got a factory overhauled engine, as well as new leather on our
interior of our Arrow 68, and I have a question regarding interior paint.
What should we use to paint the plastic details inside the plane?
Anything we should not use? It's chipped a bit in places, do we ...
Update on Denver plane crash...14 Jun 2004 00:16 GMT27
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/3399604/detail.html
1)Looks like somebody either told them of the stall (whether it was my
email or not) and they corrected the article.  Sounds like they
misquoted the flight sim tech as I had thought.
Logging Flight Time Question13 Jun 2004 18:23 GMT1
Couple questions as it pertains to logging time.
1) What is a way that a person can log time (and what type of time)
sitting right seat in an aircraft certified for single pilot ops?
2) Can a person log the time spent right seat in a pressurized

China to supply parts for 7E712 Jun 2004 16:55 GMT4
Just read in the paper, that china has landed a deal deal with Beoing, to
supply parts for the 7E7 including the rudder assemblies. That ought to
inspire a lot of confidence in the plane, though I'm sure China will use
their finest slave labor technology.
Exterior touch-up12 Jun 2004 15:30 GMT1
I need to touch up the inside door frame on my Arrow, which is now
bare after removal of the door seal.  Exterior paint is Imron, but
wonder what to use for primer and touch-up since Imron is rather nasty
to work with.
Almost saw someone crash12 Jun 2004 03:25 GMT176
Yesterday the weather was miserable. There were low ceilings and a line of
strong thunderstorms that ran diagonally across the state. The preflight
briefing and a look at the radar indicated that an early departure would get
me to the destination ahead of the storms. I took my Baron ...
