Standard rate turn in Boeing 757?17 Jun 2004 23:04 GMT43
Can anybody here tall me what the standard rate of turn is in a 757? Is it the
same as small palnes, i.ei, is it universal at 360 degrees in 2 minutes?
I've got someone telling me the Boeing 757 that hit the Pentagon did some
impossible turn before flying into the building, and it ...
O2 suggestions17 Jun 2004 22:19 GMT4
I've been carrying my O2 for quite a few years now. However, I've
never found a good way to transport the cannulas/hoses/valves. The
molded plastic container they came it is too time consuming to repack
4 cannuals after every trip. I've been putting them in plastic zip
garmin 29617 Jun 2004 22:14 GMT12
For years I've turned by back on Garmin GPSs because they did not
provide terrain. Now it looks like the Garmin 296 provides that. I'm
considering selling my Skymap IIIc (which has terrain) and buying the
Garmin. The IIIc certainly has a bigger screen but the Garmin has the
Looking for particular B-17 painting...17 Jun 2004 21:21 GMT8
Anybody know the name of the painting that shows a grandfather and his
grandson at an airshow next to the nose of Sentimental Journey, or is there
an online aviation art gallery that might have it?  I'm looking for a print
to hang on October 14.

A little engine trouble17 Jun 2004 19:29 GMT29
I hesitated to even bother writing about this, since so far it seems like
pretty much a non-event.  But then I figured, what the heck...hardly anyone
ever actually writes about actual flying, however mundane, in this
newsgroup, so here you go...
Gemini CH26017 Jun 2004 18:56 GMT4
Anyone know about this little 2 place twin. I would love to try and talk
my Dad into buying a kit. It looks as if it will be the cheapest twin
ever. 2 place side by side. 2 80hp motors. 3 1/2 gph, and a total of 7
gph. Looks like it will be the cheapest what to build Multi time. Put
Runway closing permanently at Allegheny County (KAGC) 17 Jun 2004 18:24 GMT12
The crosswinds runway needs $5.5 million in repairs and
safety-related work, none of which is eligible for reimbursement
by the Federal Aviation Administration, said Brad Penrod,

Canada WX-BRIEF?17 Jun 2004 07:47 GMT7
How do I check weather while flying in Canada? Is there a 800-WX-BRIEF
in Canada? Where do I file my domestic Canadian flight plans? The AOPA
packet didn't include any of this information.

Garmin 296 worth the money?17 Jun 2004 07:24 GMT3
I know after reading this newsgroup for over three years that many
questions have been asked regarding the "best" GPS for the money...so
forgive me but the Garmin 296 is so new I can't find out much about it.
Lots of old articles about older models of GPS receivers.
Wheel Pants Weight17 Jun 2004 06:40 GMT5
I was wondering how much weight taking off the wheel pants would gain
me for cargo? I have a 1979 C152 with wheel pants and need to be able
to carry a little more weight.  I've heard around 18 pounds, but does
anyone know for sure?
Allergies & flying -- Part II17 Jun 2004 05:09 GMT12
Whoever first recommended "Flonase" has earned themselves a FREE night in
one of our aviation theme suites!
We worked our booth at the "Fly Iowa" airshow both Saturday and Sunday.  We
were outside, in the hot, dusty wind, on the edge of a thousand square miles
