KLX-135 upgrade and battery31 May 2005 14:22 GMT9
Hey all... I've got a KLX-135 GPS/COM that recently developed an identity
crisis.  Apparently there's an internal lithium battery that dies after 3-5 years and
causes it to forget all of its waypoints and internal GPS almanac.  Anyone ever
replaced or had one replaced?

here might be able to help me out with.  The pinion gear that engages the
starter ring gets stuck in the retracted position and won't come forward
when I engage the ignition key.  It just whirs in place ...

Standard Weather Briefing efficiency30 May 2005 11:48 GMT8
Got a strange question for you.  When I flew in Los Angeles, I'd call
800-WX-BRIEF, get connected to the local FSS and the call would go like
this.
Him: "Hawthorne flight service."
Semi - NORDO in a Champ to Oshkosh - Misc questions30 May 2005 05:25 GMT46
Wife and I want to go to Oshkosh this year in our '46 Champ.
It's about 850 - 900 miles from the east coast, and we'd
like to camp along the way and after we arrive.

Touch Up White Paint29 May 2005 23:58 GMT10
I just noticed an area of exposed aluminum on my wing root, about the
size of a quarter.  I am not sure how and when it got there.  Exposed
aluminum seems like an inherently bad thing.  Is there some good way to
do a do-it-yourself job of touching this up that is both effective ...
