In bitching about recent news coverage about saftey at a local airport (the
media don't get it right, they aren't experts, they create hysteria....),

I was wondering if has anyone visited ATC facilities recently and had
to prove US citizenship. I have heard some people that visited Potomac
Approach were not asked for this, but Seattle Approach keeps blocking
non-citizens including permanent residents.

We have just released a new DVD set which contains
10 of the archived 16mm FAA movies. These are really entertaining
and highly instructional. The content is still current
even though the movies were made quite a few ago.

Does anyone know of a company/agent who will write a $1MM non-owner
policy with $500K/seat rather than the typical $100K/seat?

Since the topic of cockpit organization always comes up, has anyone
tried using fishing vest? It has many pockets that appears to be a good
solution for a cockpit, but I don't what the drawbacks are. Here is a

Last week I was in Greenland, at Narsarsuaq, formerly the USAAF and
USAF airfield Bluie West One.
It's a fabulous place, but one aspect of the Narsarsuaq airfield
really astonished me. There is a tower, six days a week during normal
