G'Day all.
Just wondering if anyone knew any information of a Easy Eagle1, registration
N707DG, which crashed on it's maiden flight in 2005.  Preliminary NTSB
report on stetes that it took a long time to climb, and crashed into trees
LSA CFI Airspace and Speed restrictions29 Jan 2007 14:08 GMT11
Hey guys,
I'm preparing to get LSA CFI but I had two more questions:
61.415 (f) states that: You may not provide training to operate a
light-sport aircraft in Class B, C, and D airspace, at an airport
Painting Your Airplane in the Hangar?28 Jan 2007 16:10 GMT19
I just saw a beautiful Lancair 320 painted in the hangar.  It looks
great until you get up close.  The polyurethane paint is very glossy,
but there is dust particles and trash all over it.  Even a few insects
in the middle of our NC winter.
Wing walk ply question.28 Jan 2007 10:16 GMT20
My plans don't give a lot of detail about my wing walk but it's for a truss
rib mostly wood wing. The walk is supposed to go from the front spar to the
trailing edge and should be 1/4 ply. my question is will a piece of 1/4 ply
bend around the curvature of the wing (Clark Y) or ...

Can you dry sump a type1 VW engine?27 Jan 2007 07:28 GMT6
God  Morning all.
Brief question.  Is is possible (has it been done), to dry sump a type1 VW
engine, such as the one marketed by great planes?  The use, inverted flight,
and mild -ve Gs.
Vertex 220 Headset Adapter to Helicopter Plug26 Jan 2007 23:09 GMT4
Got a Vertex 220 and had to modify the headset adapter to a single
helicopter plug.  Attached is a drawing that you can probably use for
any conversion of a airplane headset to helicopter.  Colors used by
Vertex in the wiring indicated.
Looking for a good set of parasol plans24 Jan 2007 04:10 GMT11
I'm looking for a good set of parasol plans that would be reasonably
easy to follow for a first time builder. I don't really care about
speed or cross country capability - just something to putz around the
pattern and sight-see.  I'm thinking that tube and fabric would be my
1999 Arlington crash jury award24 Jan 2007 03:41 GMT25
This one really has me bothered:  1999 NWEAA Arlington Fly-in, pilot in RV-6
rushes departure at high angle of attack, crashes, dies in the ensuing fire.
His survivors sue EAA and NWEAA claiming the fire crews didn't get there
soon enough.  The stated claims don't even agree with ...
substitute aluminum for 4130?23 Jan 2007 19:34 GMT12
Plans call for wing spar to fuselage carry through attach fiitings to be
7/8x1/8 4130 steel. Advisability of using 9/16x 3/16 6061-T6 aluminum as I
have it on hand.
Your thoughts please. I have plans for another ship which uses the 6061-T6.
Welding; How much undercut?23 Jan 2007 08:21 GMT12
Some of the welding manuals I have say that a certain amount of undercut is
inevitable. Certainly in examining the fuselages of some factory aircraft
I've seen some shockingly large errors like this in the finished welds. On
many of my practice wleds, particularly on tubing ...
Just doodles...22 Jan 2007 16:53 GMT18
Well, hello again.
"That which doesn't kill me - has made a huge tactical mistake".
Not up to 100%, but I'm still kicking and getting my strength back.
Can't believe how long it has taken, but...
Jabiru22 Jan 2007 16:40 GMT9
My challenger needs a new engine as the 503 has bit the dust. Have a line on
a
Jabiru 2200 at a reasonable price (cheap). Anybody done this before and are
there any pitfalls? Thanks
Air Pressure Switch for Hour Meter22 Jan 2007 01:20 GMT4
Hello all, can somebody suggest a good place to get an air pressure
switch to hook into the Pieto line of an aircraft which will then in
turn operate the hourmeter when the aircraft is flying.
I have a friend who has a really long taxi and warmup time and he tells
L-19 Birddog Avionics Parts - For Sale?22 Jan 2007 00:49 GMT1
I am a member of a glider club that uses an L-19 Birddog for our tow
plane.  The airplane makes a great towplane and by removing the rear
stick and turning the rear seat around, you can face backwards for the
flight which is a real hoot.
