Wooden laminations27 Jun 2008 20:12 GMT1
About five years ago I cut and planed Douglas Fir planks for the
landing gear of my Fly Baby, but we moved before I got them glued up.
I'm finally getting back into the swing of things.  Should I re-plane
them to get a fresh-cut surface before I glue them?
New usenet group proposal: sci.energy.biofuel.*27 Jun 2008 17:09 GMT8

I posted a notice about our A.N.N interview and expected at least some

Everyone It seems is into this26 Jun 2008 18:52 GMT1
This string caught my attention because recently it is pretty much
what everyone is talking about. The comments here are good and I found
myself reading through a lot longer than I expected to because I guess
I've personally felt the effects of this fuel crunch myself but

Having perused the preserved wisdom of this board going back to 1997,
what's the best way to keep Mr. Rust from doing the nom-nom-nom on my
carefully-crafted 4130 fittings?
Thanks to my friendly neighborhood college-chem-lab person I can dip

ARC Wiring Diagrams20 Jun 2008 04:27 GMT6
I have a recently purchased (eBay) Aircraft Radio Corporation audio
control panel with R-402 Marker Beacon Receiver. I don't have the wiring
diagrams or operations manuals for either unit. I've looked on the
Aeroelectric site and the usual search places with no luck turning up

Recently my gas station placed stickers on the pumps warning it could
contain up to 10% ethanol.
My ride is an experimental built in 1997 with a C-85 always run on mogas.

Glue removal - ceconite16 Jun 2008 13:14 GMT3
I'm in the process of removing the fabric covering (ceconite) from my
wings and am now faced with the problem of glue removal from the
leading/trailing edges and assorted ribs.
MEK will disolve it, but with much patience.
Oshkosh questions13 Jun 2008 02:37 GMT6
I'm thinking of volunteering at AirVenture during the show and two
weeks prior. Does EAA provide any place to camp for volunteers? I
don't mind paying during the show but premium rate ($20/day) for a
field is kind of tough to swallow. Especially while I'm working for
