I'm not sure if there are any folks left here from "the Golden Age of

slotted airfoil coordinates.31 Mar 2010 17:07 GMT4
Is there an online (or other) source for coordinates, polars, etc

I checkout out the information on the Zenith airfoils at:

Glass Repair and Vacuum Pumps30 Mar 2010 17:37 GMT4
It was years ago.  The question popped up on r.a.h
How to make a low cost vacuum pump.
I remembered this when talking to my son today.
He was fixing a spider web chip on his windshield.

Fire at Pinckneyville23 Mar 2010 03:35 GMT6
I don't come to the groups much any more, for reasons including a move,
new job, and loss of newsreader program.  I miss the days when I found
good company here, though, and many fine people willing to answer
questions and engage in entertaining conversation.

selecting wheels and tyres11 Mar 2010 08:47 GMT4
I am surprised at finding precious little information on how to select
wheels and tyres when designing a plane from scratch.
At least, what are the criteria?
max gross weight must surely come into play.

Sadly, my father is putting up for sale the project of his life. Its an RV-8
homebuilt airplane. About fifteen years ago, I visited my dad and seen a
pile of AL sheeting and extruded AL support stock for ribs etc. I spent two
days with him fabricating one side of the vertical fin on ...

The way the pilot flies it's probably a good thing he's selling it.
