| Jepp versus NACO | 14 Jan 2006 00:57 GMT | 2 |
I'm transitioning from Jepp charts to NACO. One useful thing that Jepp seems to produce that I can't find on NACO are IFR area charts for the smaller cities (e.g. Seattle, San Diego). Do `guvmint versions of these exist?

| Filing direct with GPS | 11 Jan 2006 19:19 GMT | 26 |
The installation of the GNS530 is complete. The learning is just begun. But since I now have equipment which allows it, what is the likelihood of receiving 'cleared as filed' if I file direct to a destination a few hundred miles away?

| Icing in the scan... | 09 Jan 2006 11:52 GMT | 13 |
Seeing several recent posts on icing situations, I was struck with a curiosity of how much a part of watching for ice accumulation becomes a part of your scan, for those of you who have flown into potential icing conditions.
