Busted Checkride30 Mar 2006 04:10 GMT27
15G21. My gut said don't go. The examiner said it's my call. It was my

this. We've been out in worse." He told me "I think you should go." I
went. I got pink slipped. It was _my_ call.

Why do you hear (non-pilots) say things like "he/she made a 'perfect' three

BTW, CFI stuff is going fine... The only catch has been getting flyable days

I've been lurking on this forum through my PPL training at PAO, and
learning a lot from the wisdom of others by reading way too late into
the night :-)
A few days ago I tried to schedule my PPL check ride (I've already
Checkride being scheduled24 Mar 2006 00:41 GMT5
Well, after two years, ~55 hours and a lot of sweat, my instrucotr is
calling the DPE today to schedule my checkride. I've scheduled the
airplane (for Friday) and we'll see.
I actually feel pretty confident (right now). We've spent a good bit of
mode c transponder23 Mar 2006 07:16 GMT14
I just learned today that a mode c transponder rely on the standar pressure
(29.92) instead of the actual corrected sea level pressure and that the atc
find our actual altitude. This sound like a good thing.
Now I wonder if the transponder use the same "static pressure sensor" as ...

adventurous, the people we met were wonderful, and Vegas was... VEGAS!  Jay

I wouldn't invest the time and money in a degree for it, although you
will find the mechanical background of being a competent mechanic will
likely pay for itself several times over, just in jobs you can do
yourself around the house....  I agree with the previous, lots of heavy

If you have discovered an engine problem during runup, did you decide to
return to the ramp?
What did you discover (symptoms)?
What was the cause?
