Another Solo Story28 Aug 2006 00:19 GMT2
Well, after taking a nearly year long break in my training for various

say it's even sweeter doing it in the plane that you've worked on,
sweated in, and own.
Why did you get a pilot's license?27 Aug 2006 22:52 GMT28
While walking into my second flight school to check out their
instructors, I was struck by the fact that I've wanted to fly for a
long time, but what was I going to DO with a pilot's license once I got
it?  Just fly around?  Where would I go?  Use it to visit friends?

Solo IFR and loving it24 Aug 2006 21:04 GMT22
Today was a perfect IFR morning in North Georgia. Broken at 500', overcast
at 1000' to 2000', tops at about 4000' to 5000'. No thunderstorms yet, but
forecast for this afternoon. I was flying solo and had it in mind to fly to
Greenville, SC (GYH) if the ceilings were higher in order ...

Sport Pilot stigma?24 Aug 2006 05:05 GMT74
Just stopped in to my local airport to talk about going from my Sport
Pilot's license after hearing about the new LSA and Sport Pilot
classifications on NPR.  I did all my homework before going to talk
with the instructor - including reading the archives here,

ATPL student finally!22 Aug 2006 19:14 GMT4
Today I finally took the plunge and ordered the distance study course
