Hello, I just found your group and thought I would give this a shot.
I'm looking to start earning my private pilot's certificate and was
wondering if anyone here could recommend a flight instructor in or
near the Lincoln Nebraska area?  Thanks in advance.

If you enjoy hiking or long-distance running, the built-in GPS chip

Will Flight Line 430 XP run on Windows 2000?29 Oct 2007 15:23 GMT9
I'm looking at buying the Garmin GNS 430 simulator by Reality XP
<http://www.reality-xp.com>, but the Requirements page says that
it runs on Windows/XP only.
I've asked their support site if it will run on Windows 2000, but
"By the numbers"???28 Oct 2007 04:30 GMT42
I was at the AOPA this week, talking to LSA manufacturers (I can't
train to be a SP until I have a plane to fly) and I heard something
that I didn't understand.  There was one CFI that I spoke to that
sells and trains in a high wing or low wing LSA.  I asked him if he
Pressure Alt, Density Alt questions...27 Oct 2007 06:29 GMT15
Question about calculating Density Alt. On my Cessna 172, I refer to
the POH when calculating Climb Rates.  In the POH, my instructor told
me to cross out on the climb rate table "pressure altitude" and put in
"density alt....here are my q's...

This past Saturday I was introduced to nosewheel shimmy on a touch and

definitely won't see in Flight Simulator.
Towered Class G airport27 Oct 2007 01:07 GMT43
Before last week, if you had asked me if there was such a thing as a
towered Class G, I would have said "nope...  all towered airports are at
least Class D".
Apparently I was wrong.

opportunity to visit for a few days.  Couple of sessions in a PA28 doing
circuits would be fun.

Breezy glide approach22 Oct 2007 11:03 GMT5
Well it looked like I would not fly but it turned out that the wind
was aligned with the seal so I would benefit from 'more challenging
conditions'. I'm doing my last few hours (I hope) up to my flight
test. So there we are, wind up to 45k at 2000', 25k at surface with
