I am at 24 hours and still haven't soloed. Early on my CFI thought I'd
solo pretty quickly but I never really internalized landings.  I could
do them perfectly when conditions were calm but add a little wind and

I have been taught to apply PPP when leveling off about 50' before my
cruise altitude.  Often times I have trouble maintaining altitude,
which I think is a result of focusing too much inside the cockpit
rather than outside the cockpit.
