where can you fly?28 Jul 2003 03:32 GMT6
Once you're a qualified private pilot, where can you/can't you fly?
For instance, say I spot an interesting cloud formation. Can I just
take off, fly up to it, ascend the vertical walls of the cloud and fly
through its troughs and valleys in exploration of a formation that
Professional Helicopter Pilot Association26 Jul 2003 23:52 GMT4
Don't recall seeing anything here recently on the PHPA site. Check it
out and see if there is something of interest for you. Lots of pro

information and updates on different activities such as unionization
Chitwood 500 Turbine progressing well.24 Jul 2003 02:59 GMT1

Why do gyros use tilt head rather than swashplate22 Jul 2003 04:09 GMT5
Would a gyro with a swashplate ( just for pitch control) fly any different
(better, worse) than using a tilt type rotor head? Just more complex?
Also, I've seen some photos of early kit  helicopters that appear to have
just a tilting head (no way to auto-rotate ?). Isn't this a bit ...
Awesome chopper!16 Jul 2003 09:46 GMT1

Anyhow, where can I get info on that type of chopper?  I'm interested in the
series and defferences.  Like the UH-1H.  ...

OH-58 for Civilian use09 Jul 2003 18:24 GMT5
Can anyone speak to the problems and challenges that I might encounter
in purchasing a OH-58A+ . I plan on using it for primarily for turbine
training but was wondering if  there were any income producing
activities that could be done under the restricted designation.

Hi all, Believe it's soon the weekend of Culdrose airshow. Anyone going?
In fact, some web pages quote the 19th, others quote 16th. I thought it was
