Brand New Bell 47 Spider Still Packed in Cosmoline ---- What's It Worth?25 Dec 2003 12:45 GMT1
And what does it do?   It looks to me like it's part of the drive train.
Until I opened the original box and looked inside, it had never been opened
since the 60's when the spider was manufactured by Textron in Fort Worth,
Texas.
unique new VFR navigation plotter23 Dec 2003 16:33 GMT2
Hi everyone, I Just got a new enroute plotter for VFR flying, and it is
amazing!    If you haven't heard about it, it's made by Jeffron Industries
and they call it the Speed Wizard and it's great for finding out ETA's and
groundspeed real fast while your flying.  It really is so ...

Where is the cheapest place to get dual training in an R22 helicopter?
I thought I found a flight school web site that advertised $150/hr,

During the 1970's, Bell came up with a variety of Tiltrotor concepts,
including several gunship models.  Does anyone know where a good place
to start looking for conceptual art or planned specifications would
be?
Dubya / Kill Devil Hills irony20 Dec 2003 16:43 GMT9
I'm watching the President's speech on CNN now at Kill Devil Hills.
The fact that there's a _huge_ TFR surrounding the area bothers me
a little. I wonder is he's really aware of how much impact he had
on GA and the people trying to get in and out of there.
206B3 hydraulic failure20 Dec 2003 15:54 GMT13
Enroute to maintenance for another matter yesterday I was cruising
at 80% and about 110kts when I noticed that I didn't seem to have
hydraulics in the upper-right to lower-left direction on the cyclic,
but movement from upper-left to lower right required no effort.

number of rotor blades18 Dec 2003 02:29 GMT48
Just a theoretical question that someone may be able to help with.
Alot of helicopters have only two rotor blades, ie:Robinsons, Bells, etc.
Others have multiples, ie:dauphins with 4, Hughes etc.
If a blade is thrown on a two blade, bend over and kiss your rear bye bye.

Parts Search11 Dec 2003 01:57 GMT2
Recently came across a web site that lets you run a bid search for parts.
Almost like EBay in reverse.
Needed a battery for 206 and got several responses with greatly varing
prices. Ended up with about 1/2 price of full retail.
