7th flight - 7.9 hours in..  Too fun!30 Aug 2004 16:45 GMT15
Flying early today.  8am.  I'm up before 5 with the pre-flying

Newsgroup question29 Aug 2004 18:42 GMT1
I've been monitoring this group for about 18 months and have found that
it deals almost exclusively with civilian rotorcraft. Is there a Usenet

Fun Stuff With Helicopters28 Aug 2004 21:46 GMT15
Was flying Bell 206 in Johannesburg, early 1970's. At the time there

"W" is JFK's son and Bush revenge killed Kennedy in 196328 Aug 2004 19:52 GMT2
JFK gave Barbara Pierce a lesson in life in the summer of 1944 (making
her a "Cape Cod heiress"), and to her eventual husband, JFK gave a
personal motive for revenge. Perhaps if George and Barb had announced
their earlier engagement or even if George had given Barb a diamond

Flight Number 5 - Illumination!26 Aug 2004 01:19 GMT6
Got down to the hangar this morning and saw the "tail rotor gearbox
leak" ship strewn all over the hangar - well, not really, but the
tailboom was sitting on a pair of sawhorses next to the ship and the
tailrotor assembly was nowhere in sight.  Evidently there was a

Five Die in Medivac Crash24 Aug 2004 14:28 GMT1
Surprising how often these types of medivac accidents happen.
Condolences to all involved.

Sikorsky S-92 only 3.2 Billion24 Aug 2004 07:49 GMT7
Well folks..... I'm a little surprised.
It's not everyday that a country orders 3.2 billion dollars worth of a
helicopter that theoretically is still on the drawing boards.
I would have thought that one of my fellow Canadians would have thrown
5th flight - No joy.23 Aug 2004 21:41 GMT10
Got to the field this morning - runnin' a few minutes late - and get

A TOTALLY OFF TOPIC POST23 Aug 2004 16:11 GMT2
Well folks, it's Friday nite and I'm kicking back with a beer watching
those magnificant men and their flying machines.
Havn't seen that one in years.
Now I now it has absolutely nothing to do with helicopters ( I'm so

I've been hearing very contradicting statements about helicopeter

Some sources say that there just aren't any and the ones that are
there are very low.  Say 20-30k a year.  However, other sources claim
