Speaking of POP OUT FLOATS21 Jun 2005 19:08 GMT11
How many of you saw the shots on TV last night of the
helicopter upside down in the water... in NYC.
Looks like the floats at least kept the machine at the water's surface

Too close? Too small?20 Jun 2005 18:57 GMT72

tore the end cap and the blades had to come off for inspection/repair.
Hmmm...a little too close.
Landing on an elevated pad about 10' off the ground and the skids hang

How to log a JetRanger?14 Jun 2005 21:21 GMT3
Seems like a simple question, but it slipped my mind at the time.
What's the correct short identifier for a Bell JetRanger II for a
logbook?  Would it be something like B206-B2 or 206B2?
Thanks!

MDHI (makers of the MD500, 600, 900 series) has been dormant for some time
and is on the brink of bankruptcy.
Replacement parts are unavailable and they're delivering three or four
helo's a year.

I know there used to be a big Sikorsky fan on this group. If he is
still around I hoped to see if tours are possible and if so what is
really worth extra effort to see?
Thanks
