Info on Tilt- Rototrs Needed31 Oct 2005 02:28 GMT32
Hey guys, I am thinking on giving a seminar on Tilt-Rotor Aircrafts as
a part of my Mechanical Engineering Final Year Syllabus. However all
the info i found on the net (read Google) deals with the BA-609 and the
Osprey specifically and not with the concept of Tilt Rotors. Can anyone

Had a 90 minute block on the schedule this afternoon and was convinced
when I woke at 6:30 it wasn't going to happen.  It was raining and
winds were very gusty.  Towards 12:30 it was starting to clear up and
I could see a few blue holes in the ceiling.  I figured WTF, I'll head

Made a potentially serious mental mistake today and thought I'd share
it as it's actually a very good lesson.
Wind was blowing out of the East today in a condition we Southern
Californians call a Santa Ana.  Makes for higher than normal wind

I was talking to a Sikorsky pilot at our airport about this accident:

He said that Sikorskys have a "droop lock" in the cockpit that should
