Soaring Product Comparisons Update31 Jan 2005 20:04 GMT1
I have recently spent a lot time updating my Cumulus Soaring, Inc. web site.
I try very hard to add value in the form of product comparison tables,
example systems, tips documents, etc.  I previously had separate product
comparison and example systems pages but I have now ...
AOL dumps newsgroups31 Jan 2005 20:02 GMT10
Yesterday AOL flashed a message to all users clicking on newsgroups to the
effect that it would no longer support newsgroups as of "early 2005" (see

Revisiting declining membership31 Jan 2005 03:42 GMT51
Looking through all the posts from earlier this year, regarding the
sliding membership in our US soaring activities, along with all the
other trailing bad news, i.e. SSA building in need of big repairs,

Learning to glide / soar in winter28 Jan 2005 16:29 GMT21
I am located in Sydney / Australia and wonder what the pros/cons are to do a
glider course in our winter instead of our summer. Weather here is generally
sub-tropic and I guess comparable with South Africa or maybe Spain or
Southern USA. Looks like a much nicer season to be out and ...
Why is Soaring declining28 Jan 2005 03:47 GMT266
This was copied from rec.outdoors.fishing.bass.  It sounds like the very
same things that we talk about when we discuss the decline of our sport.  I
am not saying it has answers, but it is interesting.

Minden Wave in February??28 Jan 2005 02:44 GMT8
I'm sure I'd get a sales pitch if I call Minden, and I don't necessarily
hold that against them, but is February a likely month for Diamond
altitude at Minden?
Thanks,

There are no indications that it is not, however, being new in the RV buying
