Thanks.
ASW19b best descent rate on approach (full airbrakes)30 Apr 2005 11:41 GMT1
I have just received our ASW19's flight manual which says to make the
approach as follows:
"The approach should normally be made at about 46 knotes. For
turbulant air a corresponding faster speed must be flown."
Grob29 Apr 2005 19:22 GMT3
How much could you expect to pay for a Grob G-103.  What is the top dollar
for a very good one and bottom dollar for a not so good one.  I know that
you will say it all depends on hours and options etc but I just need a ball
park in AUD or USD.

Painting a Fiberglass Trailer Experiences28 Apr 2005 19:40 GMT4
This is not a question, just a comment about a recent experience.
I have a fiberglass trailer that needed a repainting.  After asking
around some trailer manufacturers the general conscensus was to use a
two part epoxy paint.
(US) SSA National Landmark of Soaring28 Apr 2005 15:25 GMT3
"What world record was set in New Hampshire in 1969?"
The glider pilots of Region 1 are working to establish Mount
Washington, New Hampshire as the 14th National Landmark of
Soaring.
Any towing experiences with a Stinson 108-2 or 108-3?28 Apr 2005 07:52 GMT3
Looking for first-hand accounts of anyone towing with or towing behind
a Stinson, especially with a 200+ hp Continental or Lycoming.
Tow speeds?
Rates of climb?
Applebay alternative nose release28 Apr 2005 05:09 GMT8
Any comments pro or con about the Appleboy nose release?
Reportedly there are some PIK's, ASW's, LS's and Zuni's out there with them.
Had the same request on gliderforum.com for a few days.  A few views, but no
comments.  Perhaps someone here that I haven't already had an exchange
FS iPaq28 Apr 2005 00:28 GMT6
We have some nice iPaq 38XX and 39XX's for sale.
The 39XX has the brighter screen inside but the general consensus is that in
bright (sun) light the 38XX is somewhat better.
A non-glare screen protector also helps.

Upper Midwest Maintenance27 Apr 2005 17:40 GMT2
A couple of ADs are coming due on my ship, so I thought I'd try to get
a bunch of other things taken care of at the same time (some minor
gelcoat work, a new air strut for the canopy, new mylar seals, maybe a
new seat harnes, etc.).

Our wonderful airport lawnmowing crew mangled one while I was out flying
saturday.
Thanks
What I would like to see in a Sports Class contest27 Apr 2005 05:32 GMT4
I would like to see KS fly the Duo for the first half and then switch to an
ASW 15 or like sailplane for the second half. It would be an interesting way
to check out the handicap system.
