| Instr. Overhaul and Leak Test | 31 Jan 2006 18:22 GMT | 4 |
I tested my static/pitot system per Mike Borgelt's instructions and found immediately my airspeed indicator (used as the pressure gauge) had a small leak. Right before Christmas, I sent the instrument to 'Century

| IPAQ 4700/4705 | 31 Jan 2006 13:01 GMT | 9 |
I've been shopping these on eBay lately. For the time being, the selling prices I've seen lead me to think buying new is the best option. I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these up close and personal.

| Jet sailplane demonstration at SSA convention | 31 Jan 2006 00:18 GMT | 1 |
I'll have the jet sailplane on display at the 2006 SSA convention. Last year in Ontario, I fired up the engines in the parking lot. The few who were there seemed to get a kick out of it. I'd be willing to

| EMERGENCY AIR PUMPS | 30 Jan 2006 23:29 GMT | 7 |
Does anyone have any experience or can make a recommendation for a portable air pump ? This would be to add some air to a main tire without having to go back to the shack for a "real" heavy-duty compressor.

| ASW-19 Moment Arms | 30 Jan 2006 22:52 GMT | 9 |
I would like to be able to calculate the actual CG position for my ASW-19B, in addition to using Schleicher's cockpit load CG check. I found some data in the AS Airworthiness Test Report and more in the FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet, but 3 items are still unknown. Schleicher

| Winch Launch Stresses on Vintage Gliders | 30 Jan 2006 21:29 GMT | 31 |
Our club is exploring switching from aero tow to winch launching. Some of our members own older wooden gliders and have expressed concerns about the increased stress on the glider's structure resulting from winch launching vs. aero tow.

| Zaino | 30 Jan 2006 16:15 GMT | 5 |
Having just washed and waxed the car with Zaino, I am wondering if anyone has used it on their sailplane. The Zaino web site states that it is OK for fiberglass and gel coat. Any one used it? What results/problems?

I need to be in the San Diego area for a conference in early March and am contemplating taking a few extra days off and driving down there (from the SF Bay Area) with my glider rather than flying. I've done this before, going to Pasadena and flying two days at Great Western

| DG-300 instrument panel | 29 Jan 2006 14:48 GMT | 14 |
I'm thinking of starting anew with the instrument panel in the 300. The Terra 720 radio is out, and the L-NAV works, but it came with an old Garmin 95 GPS, which looks more like a typewriter, and no logger. I'm looking to do a Cambridge 302, with a good radio, and remove the
