I may have the opportunity to do some gliding in the USA in the near future. Is high tow THE only way to do aerotow, or is it OK for an overseas pilot experienced with low to to continue to fly the aerotow that way ?

Australia determined way back when the glider first appeared that the aft fuselage area had insufficient torsional strength and required strengthening. ( I suspect that they were a bunch of tossers) looking through the articles that have appeared on the woodstock I see
