We just received our renewal for our towplane insurance which had a new
clause.  They now require our  pilot, who is 70 years old, to have a
current, within one year, FAA physical when towing or flying our Scout.
Do other insurance companies require this?

Found this from someone claiming to be a Sheriff's deputy (and I have no
reason to believe otherwise.)  You have to hand it to the Hawker pilots, at
least for getting the airplane on the ground with this kind of damage.

Viewed the discussion on cloud flying. I have been
cloud flying in sailplanes for over 15 yrs....IMC flying
that is. Currently I have a Nimbus 3, modified to 26

The Piper PA -25 -235 requires a inspection of the wing spar/cluster
every 24 months.
Who has experience and does these in the Southwest US, Nevada or

All the flight crews involved in the mid-air at Minden seem to have reacted
well to the emergency.  There is no evidence to suggest that either aircraft
was contravening any regulations or being flown in any irresponsible way.
