Need High-Resolution sailplane image for magazine01 Nov 2006 00:44 GMT2
I need a high resolution digital image of a Blanik L-23 / ASK-21 / Grob
103 / Duo / DG-1000 or similar, representing a two seat, training
sailplane for a national travel magazine. Sorry, no 2-33's (and let's
not go there.)
Discus verus Discus 2, LS8, ASW 2831 Oct 2006 16:43 GMT46
How do these two gliders compare to one another?  Is there a Discus 2x?
How does the original compare in todays competition world, LS8, Discus
2, ASW-28.  Does the oringinal Discus give away any performance to the
current crop of gliders.  Interesting to note that the LS8 is an LS6
Used European Sailplane For U.S. Delivery?31 Oct 2006 15:30 GMT6
I've read archived RAS threads; Terry Joint used to arrange Euro purchases
for U.S. delivery back in 2002. His e-mail is broken now. The USD keeps
declining & registration & shipping costs both in $$ & time might make this
route undesirable.Yet?

I need a 2 sections of precurved mylar tape to seal my rudder. I bought
from W & W 30 mm tape but my hinge openings on the rudder are catching
the tape, therefore I need 2 sections of 35 mm tape 4 feet and 4 inch
in length each to buy if someone has some left or I would like maybe ...

UNUSUAL USE OF A GLIDER PICTURE30 Oct 2006 14:58 GMT3
For whatever it's worth: Panera Bakery sells their own brand of "light"
cream cheese.  The image on the packaging is that of a sailplane
(unidentified) in flight.  Perhaps the idea is the connection between
the airiness of the product and that of soaring.
Appearance30 Oct 2006 09:52 GMT4
Has this site changed its appearance, or have I done
something to my PC?  The page is all white and there
are no frames, dividing lines, etc.

Quiet Vent29 Oct 2006 22:05 GMT19
Some months ago, I read a post from a John Morgan, Minden NV.  He was
developing a gadget that was to diminish noise from the clearvision
panel vent.  I think he called it the Quiet Vent.  Any further word on
his venture?  Any contact info?  THNX   Ron W   (RW)
CG Hook for 1-26?29 Oct 2006 02:21 GMT1
Does anybody have plans for installing a CG hook in an SGS 1-26?
We are doing a lot of winch launching here and I'm sure we could get
much higher if our 1-26 had a CG hook in it.
Thanks.
Wow cloudbase is high...28 Oct 2006 20:17 GMT9
A friend and I were driving back from the airport the other day.   He
remarked, "Wow, cloudbase is high today.  I bet it's at least 6,000
feet."
He and I began musing - exactly how do we know that cloudbase is high?
Tow Hitch Ball - 50mm or 2"?28 Oct 2006 17:53 GMT12
I needed to move a Blanik L23 trailer over the weekend.  Using my 2"
tow hitch ball and I had a heck of a time disconnecting the two.  I
knew that the Blanik trailer has what I assume is a 50mm tongue.
I was kind of surprised that my 2" ball (which works out to be 50.8mm)
