FS:  Gap Tape30 Apr 2007 14:26 GMT1
1 inch wide gap tape.
Spring special  30 rolls for $40 post paid in the USA.
(That works out to $1 a roll after I pay the postage.)
Not as good as the $6 a roll tape, but very useable.

A couple of damp glider pilots (bad wx in the ne usa) were having a

Do static/probe based TE systems actually measure TE? ... or are they
simply a mechanism to get us an approximation of TE.

from the backside of the fin. If anyone has any information or better
yet some pictures or drawings on the best way to install this, it

Where can I buy wheels for a Cobra trailer?28 Apr 2007 03:44 GMT5
I'm replacing my Cobra trailer axle with a new one that uses different

Standard steel wheels would be fine, but I'd like to upgrade to

Which meant that the surfaces could not have been weighed nor mass balance
checked.  Additionally the

BGA Instructor Requirements27 Apr 2007 20:00 GMT16
The BGA instructor qualifications require candidates to have cross
country gliding experience. Is the Silver C satisfactory for all
instructor levels, or do some require more testing cross country
experience.

upcoming Albert Lea Soaring Contests.
Being the father of young kids - I'm not used to being up at 1 AM, but
Ballast dump time Discus27 Apr 2007 05:56 GMT7
Ballast dump times are usually nothing but a reasonable guess so I
decided to measure them. Put a Discus CS wing on the standards
(horizontal) and filled her up. Times are for one wing thus double the
volume for real life and with vent holes as in flight.
