I have been experiencing some intermittant CAI-302a shutdowns, before,
during, and after flights lately.  Here's what I have been able to

Maiden flight, N888LP LP-49 Glider08 Sep 2008 04:06 GMT3
Today was the maiden flight of N888LP, the LP-49 experimental glider
built by Walt Bybee and purchased by me earlier this year.
It flew like a dream.  Walt did a superb job of building it.
The first flight was a tow to 3,000 AGL on a poor lift day.  It was

Does anyone know about the location, condition, availability, of th
original fuselage damaged in a rock pile possibly owned by a joe conn
of serial number 7? Number seven is currently located in alaska, with
replacement fuse from 1967. Just wondering.

CONGRATULATIONS to our own 1 man army of soaring promotion Tony
Condon, aka "The Cherokee Kid" who today took and passed his Airline
Transport practical test in the twin engine Cessna 421.  Tony did this
on his own without going to a special school or incurring massive debt
