I am a complete newbie here, so please don't shoot me down. Is there a legitimate way of communicating between Aircraft and Ground (other than tower or controller) in a light aircraft. I am meaning more social type communication, ie, will be landing in about 20

I'm trying to find a legal founding to the commonly held belief that in the UK on an instrument approach procedure, and IMC rated pilot MUST add to the published operating minima, for example +200 feet for a precision approach, or 500 absolute minima whichever is the higher.

so far nearest I have found is Bournemouth airport, plus one firm which needs to keep the bottle for 12 hrs (they say the contents settles!) so it's 2 trips... Peter.

Do the low-flying rules apply to balloons? Here near Bristol we see a lot and alot of them are very low. They seem to get away with flying much lower than powere craft, so are they allowed to or do they just not care? Rob
