I am about to start restoring a Mk 9A bubble sextant. The WW2 vintage RAF standard issue one. Has anyone any experience of doing this, parts - no matter how small, documentation (user or service manuals) or anything that can help.

Being IMC Rated, I know the 1800 min horizontal vis at both ends. And I know about IAPs. But let's say you are going to e.g. Goodwood, no IAP. It has to be a VFR arrival.
