I am about to start restoring a Mk 9A bubble sextant.  The WW2 vintage
RAF standard issue one.  Has anyone any experience of doing this, parts
- no matter how small, documentation (user or service manuals) or
anything that can help.

The region's air ambulance is moving to Manchester to be closer to the
action and quicker on the accident scene.

Being IMC Rated, I know the 1800 min horizontal vis at both ends. And
I know about IAPs.
But let's say you are going to e.g. Goodwood, no IAP. It has to be a
VFR arrival.

Does anyone know where I could find a definitive guide to all the different
types of pilots licences available, what ratings can be added, what these
entitle you to do, where they are and aren't valid, what you can and can't
fly on them, what medical you need to pass, and maybe how ...

Anyone know if (hypothetically speaking here, of course...:-) one were to
book some return flights on BA Domestic  flights A to B and B to A,  then
used outbound A-B, Outbound B-A, Return A-B, Return B-A, would I be likely
to encounter any problems?

Every day we have to go to the same met office pages and select the same items
to view and then print them out - takes about 15 minutes each time (depending on
