Fairford dying ?30 Jul 2004 15:50 GMT7
I noticed a considerable downsize at Fairford this year. The static display
seemed to be half the size of last year. The flying display while enjoyable
was not a patch on years past even the stalls seemed less prevelant.
Opinions ?
Channel Islands flying27 Jul 2004 20:57 GMT12
Which is the best Channel Island to take flight training on?
I have a PPL but haven't flown for a while, so I am looking to do some
refresher work. I'd like to do some over water flying too, and the
grass at Alderney will be interesting; I've never flown from grass

A bit of a long shot, but does anyone know what the music was that they
played through the loudspeakers as the Fouga Magister was on display (both
Saturday and Sunday) at the Sunderland Airshow (25/26 July 2004) ?

engined tug, tandem towing two sailplanes. Can anybody please explain how
this works and how sailplane one is not sawn in half by the cable to

carb ice23 Jul 2004 02:24 GMT53
In the July 2004 edition of Flyer magazine (page 68) there is a report
of an investigation carried out by the Air Accident Investigation
Branch (AAIB). The investigation involved a Cessna that overran the
runway on touch-and-go, due to lack of engine power.
Formation flying22 Jul 2004 12:13 GMT12
For those that know me (and for those who don't if you're interested!)
here are some photos that my friend Ed took from the passenger seat
of the lead aircraft of my plane during the formation flying course I did

AD: New ATC simulator18 Jul 2004 18:29 GMT2
I don't know if adds are allowed so please forgive me.
London Control is an air traffic control simulation system for the personal
computer. It is an authentic, highly realistic simulation of the actual ATC
sytem over England and Wales.  It delivers a level of sophistication not
