Air to air pics21 Oct 2004 23:06 GMT2
We gathered a collection of stunning air to air pictures during last summer,
all taken form the KDC-10. Among the receivers are German Phantoms, USAF
F-15s and Italian, Belgian and Dutch F-16s. We hope you like them.

coming off the Dayne stack).  It was South of Manchester airport and

Flying from EMA to EDI the other night I have never heard the ATCO so busy.
He was too busy in fact, he even made a few errors (including clearing me to
a level too high, but we digress).  On top of his pressures, just after he
had descended one plane in front of another, the not ...
Which Aero Clubs to Visit Near London16 Oct 2004 20:06 GMT1
I'm a New Zealand PPL based in central London for the next couple of months,
and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some interesting and friendly
Aero Clubs to visit in the area. I'm keen on sports aircraft and aerobatics.

Was it ???15 Oct 2004 00:18 GMT68
As we came out of the house today, I heard a very loud, but high up
aircraft. It resembled the sound that Concorde made when flying across at
high altitude before descent to Heathrow. Puzzled by what could make such a
loud noise from so high up, I eventually sighted it, and all I ...

seemed to almost vaporize on impact. The crash was filmed from various
angles, as can be seen here:

In a typical JAR way, I have a shiney new IR in my hands and absolutely no
idea of how to use it.  Sure, I can shoot ILS and NDB apps down to minima,
and I can file flight plans to trundle through the airways. I know

What's a Licensing Proficiency Check (LPC)?08 Oct 2004 20:08 GMT1
LASORS 2004 refers to a "Licensing Proficiency Check" when discussing SEP
re-validations (section F1.4) but I can't find any definition of what
constitutes a LPC.  LASORS suggests SRG1146 may have the answer but I
can't find this on the CAA website.
