| GPS | 29 Jul 2005 18:39 GMT | 54 |
It seems that GPS navigation is taking off (no pun intended) in a big way for cars, and I am the happy owner of a TOM TOM Go unit. £340 for a colour display and touch-screen operation makes it cost effective and easy to use. There surely cannot be much difference for the makers to ...

Hi, I live in Meopham in Kent. Nearly every day, at all times private jets fly over relatively low in a east to west sort of directions. I'm just interested in were they come from and were they may be going to etc.

| Shoreham | 14 Jul 2005 20:44 GMT | 4 |
Just sharing an experience, hope it doesn't bore anyone too much. Went to Shoreham the other day, a few miles out the runway changed from 02 to 20. No difference to me, I'd never been there before anyway. Joined the circuit, flew the approach, hot day with four up in a 172, used ...

| GPS | 14 Jul 2005 15:49 GMT | 2 |
I assume that the pilot GPS units (Garmin and the like) work the same way as the motoring GPS units such as Tom Tom and Navman etc. The box of tricks (for whichever use) sits on the dash, locks on to the satellites, works the sim card (or whatever) and then displays the info on the ...
