I've noticed a lot more flights over Bolton in the evenings since about 2 weeks ago. I guess it is to or from Manchester airport. It doesn't bother me I'm just interested to find out if anyone knows a reason for this?

Is there somewhere on the net i can type in a flight number and it shows me where it is going from/to etc ??. (UK routes mainly, although over-flights etc may be handy !) Kind Regards,

1) From where I work in London, I see an almost constant stream of planes coming in from the east on their final approach to Heathrow. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a plane with it's landing gear already down even though it's aproximate position would have been over

Well, about ten years ago I stopped flying tailwheel aircraft with about 500 'dragger hours under my belt. Next flew a Starduster about two months ago. Today I got cleared by the club to fly / teach on the Super Cub. Marvelous fun! (is that 2 'l's?)

An Mi-17 with an Mi-24 in his 5 o'clock flew across the Humber Estuary near Brough, south to north, at around 12.15 BST today (Sept 8th) Anyone ANY idea who these two were and where they might have been going from / to ??

I was in Manchester tower the other day and saw a return from "dragon". A U2!!! He was flying from the staes to Fairford at FL600. Needless to say the ATCO said, proudly, "I have an aircraft passing FL500...in the descent!" He he!

Now that the Space Shuttle is airborne again is there any channel i could listen to to pick it up on ??, i'm in the UK ??. I have Googled but cannot really find a definite frequency to listen on and others seem a little outdated.
